Hey there!

Thanks so much for dropping by! I’m Terresa, creator of #MamaLife. I created this site as a way to connect with other moms and help make the mama experience a little easier in any way I can. If you stick around, you’ll find stories, tips, recipes and more to keep mama life fun!

A Little About Me

I am a Jesus-loving, messy-bun-jeans-and-t-shirt-wearing, look-on-the-bright-side kind of girl. My floors aren’t always clean, the counters are usually cluttered, and I am definitely not perfect, but my home is full of love and fun!

I am married to my high school sweetheart, James. We started dating over 10 years ago and are now fast approaching our 2 year wedding anniversary. We have a beautiful 2 month old son, Samson, and one guardian angel son, Noah. If you want to hear a little more about our angel, I shared the story of our miscarriage. We live in southern California and I love the proximity to the beach even though we don’t go there as often as I’d like. We both love spending time with our family and friends over a good meal and board games (we LOVE a good game night!).

I really love all things creative.

Growing up, I was all about the crafts and was the proud owner of an awesome craft corner. I took this love with me to college and majored in fashion design, although I don’t think my casual approach to fashion makes me in any way an authority on clothes! Haha! After a few years in the industry and some major life changes, I now work as a buyer for the aerospace industry… I know! quite the career change! But it has worked well for me and my skill set. But I sometimes miss working with my creative side on a daily basis, so I find my outlet at home more often now!

I also love to cook and bake, so you will find me sharing a lot of my favorite recipes! My favorite meal of the day has always been breakfast. Growing up, we never missed breakfast, even if it was just a bowl of cereal, and Sundays were usually for pancakes before church! Now, I can’t go a day without breakfast! Funny how life works sometimes. I also have a MAJOR sweet tooth and limited self-control, but, hey, a life without ice cream isn’t a life I want to live.

Chavez family photoFaith and Inspiration

My hubby and I have built our life and our marriage on our faith in Christ. I believe my talents and my positivity are a God-breathed result of my faith. But, I am self-admittedly a work-in-progress. I do my best, but I’m a product of the real world, just like the rest of us. I will say, though, that I strive to keep a positive and hopeful outlook even in the darkest of times, and I will do my best to encourage you to do the same!

I can’t wait to get to know you!

Connect with me on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, so we can be friends! I love this journey of life and motherhood, and I am looking forward to sharing it with you.
